Inscribed on the blade are runes in the Elven language of Sindarin translates to "this blade is called Hadhafang, a noble defense against the enemy throng for a noble lady." ok It may sound a bit wierd but I have a question: is this sword any strong or will it break if you start bashing things with it? I mean, I know its stainless steel and stuff, but so was my kitchen knife and it broke above the hilt when I dropped it...

If you look in the appendixes of the LOTR series, you will see that in fact the name of the sword was always there, created by Tolkien.
