The transportation piece was great. The politics, although I agree with the sentiment, the issue is more related to human nature. The 1% which seeks prestige, wealth and/or power has been repressing the other 99% of the sheep, with either active or passive support from the sheep since humans began organizing.

Meh. This is all speculation, of course... personally, I think the future is going to be a lot stranger than we think, and won't neatly fit into these categories. Maybe we'll get to other planets before we move away from fossil fuels--where would that leave us? And a lot of the characteristics of each category seem oddly specific (tube travel, for example). While we may move to that, it's important that, again, this is all speculation, and the future will probably be a whole lot weirder.
