11-7-09 Tampa Restaraunt Fire

On 11/7 at 1408 hrs TFR units responded to a fire at a restaurant named Pollos Pucalor at 7212 N Armenia Avenue. On scene within a few minutes fire crews reported heavy smoke coming from the single story building. Fortunately all restaurant workers and customers had already exited safely. It took fire crews nearly 45 minutes to bring the smoky blaze under control. No injuries were reported. An Investigator from the Tampa Fire Marshals Office is on scene at this time looking into the fire cause. TFR responded to this one alarm fire with 6 fire engines, 1 ladder truck, 2 rescue cars and a couple of chief officers. An estimated 34 responders were on scene from fire stations in Hilldale, Sulphur Springs, North Tampa, Robles Park, Seminole Heights and Westshore.
