@HeuristicThought Organized Konfusion's debut album will always remain in my heart as somthing that disproves the stero-typical perception of hip having to contain the gangster vibe... People need to wake up and start breaking the wall of this pre-concieved notion....
-
can we please get hip hop back here
-
Earth Wind and Fire sampled here too
-
@19MJsPr89 well put, but don't forget rakim. peace.

This is sick! This song does a good sampling Steely Dan's classic "Green Earings."
-
I'm sorry..just to hear Runnin' by the Elements slowed down is pure china white.
Pharoah Monche & Prince Poetry=Organized Konfusion, this album had Roosevelt Franklin, Open Our Eyes, and Who ate the Last Piece of Chicken? I think, had the cassette, but it popped sadly and never bought another one.

-

Anyone know what thee sample is?
-
the whole mood, the way that they vocally challenge themselves, complex schemes and intricate varied samples, original beats, i'm 23 and i just laugh in my mind when i play this for my friends and they really don't get how this is better than 95% of underground or mainstream now...O.K. will always be one of my absolute favorites.
-

Such a proper track. Biking through the City while blasting this in my headphones in the ULTIMATE boost!

Organized Konfusion were monumental. They were literally the first rappers to use complex rhymes schemes, an impressive vocabulary and verbosity. They were really ahead of ther time and were probably a big influence on complex rappers like Canibus, Ras Kass, Jedi Mind Tricks etc.
classic track from 1991
