exactly, what if he gets injured pitching for them? mariano is an old pitcher and liable to injury, not to mention, hes an irreplaceable part of the yankees, i see no reason the best closer in history should risk ending his career for a stupid exhibition, besides, he already does a lot of things for his people, hes helping build a school and church in panama, a hall of famer on and off the field =)

You sound like an idiot. The whole "WBC" is organized by MLB in the first place, Mo's under no obligation to play in this "exhibition", and he's right, the Panamanian team SUCKED! He by himself would not have helped them at all. HE IS A CLASS ACT! Tell me about the charity work he's done in Panama, then rethink your comment, playing a game has nothing to do with national pride, helping people in your country does. What an ass you are...

"Mo" Rivera is one of the classiest guys in any league. just go watch "Alex Rios refuses to sign", and you'll have something to compare him with.

Note to baseball fans outside of NY: Don't expect to get Arod's autograph after a game.
He's carrying those cups for a reason

mariano is one of the nicest pro athlethes period. i go to yankee stadium on a regular basis, and its very rare that he will not talk and sign autographs for his fans. he is a very nice guy, and is soo apperciative for everything he has. a real class act.
