History: Dodonpa, is named for musical sounds, (similar to Do Re Mi, but percussive) and is also the "chant" referred to occasionally while you wait in line for the coaster.

@scottw051 Worlds fastest accelerating coaster. Not the world fastest, that is Kinda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure. 128 mph in 3.2 seconds (mind you its does sometimes take 4)

@mrchasemc Actually it is 0-107 in 1.2. 180 is actually impossible for a roller coaster. Though the theorized Euthanasia Coaster is supposed to go 220 mph after a 1600 ft drop.

@nerdtalkdaily It has a really powerful launch. Never mess with 107 mph in 1.8 seconds. Ya see, Kingda Ka only has an acceleration of 1.67 G, while Dodonpa has an acceleration of 2.7 G. And this ride is very exciting. You would NOT rather ride the tea cups. (You probably only said that 'cause this is Asia, and you were brought to believe the fact that all Asian coasters suck.) I have ridden on Dodonpa as well as TTD and Kingda Ka so yea, I know what I am talking about.

It goes from 0 - 106.9 mph in 1.8 seconds, but it's still not as fast as Kingda Ka which is 128mph

although i haven't ridden, my guess is you feel being pulled bakc in your seat and possibly your face being pulled back, but i doubt it's actually painful
