  • "The world hangs on a thin thread and that thread is the psyche of Man."

Such simply, powerful words of wisdom, but words that, as Jung says are not given credence. People just act as if "things happen" and that the minds of people play no part in the dark events of the human project that is civilisation.

  • Well said.

He could well be talking about the sociological effects of karmic action.

When there is so much suffering in the world why create more?

We need to reconnect to ourselves.

  • @paulfbest I was just talking about the 30 ancient gnosic groups. I am a Valentinian Gnostic Christian. Define "Cult". How can we be a cult when we have no leader or clergy? We are all clergy as Jesus didn't tell us to go to Church, he told us to BE the church. I did have a teacher but he refused to accept any donations. Now, compare that to the mainstream Christian Church institutions and tell me: Which one is closer to being a cult?

  • @astrofrk

I wqould never associate myself with any gnostic cult.

I am speaking about knowledge, gnosis. has nothing to do witha group/sect/cult.

Gnosis merans ability to transcend, see beyond the physical.

Really gnosis means able to understand what common man is blind to.

May God save me from so called gnostics. = The Cult.

    30 groups?

HA! most in s cali/arizona no doubt.

  • @paulfbest Which Gnostic are you talkinhg to? There are at least 30 Gnostic groups.

If you believe in the Demiurge, then God may well cause disasters. If you believe in man, man can cause them as well.

  • brilliant man!

  • @paulfbest You are correct!

Why waste your time with people who are closed minded.

It only winds up them insulting you, because the destruction

of a parademic 'line' in their mind computer causes

both a pyschological and physical complication.

And they never add anything to 'equation', it's only

    recirculated crap!

  • i think god has to do with a process of spiritual (conscious) evolution in the universe, one that we are all involved in. But Jung is right, the structure of our lives does not cater to this drive and we are bombarded with distractions that make us lose sight of this pursuit, often times. I think it's nature and the earth that we need to reconnect to, to find the wonder in all, because, by and large, this 'human game' we've made makes us only consider our species amidst our jungles of concrete.

  • So did God cause the BP spill, the Japan Tsunami, the midwest floods, the melt down of both nuke plants in Nebraska(in July), and Katrina? Is Man responisble for these 4 disasters?

Or God has nothing to do with these events?

If you understand what Jung is truly saying you will *gnosis* my Q.

I know, but will not say.

I never discuss The Sacred with atheists , sophists, religionists.

U guys figure the puzzle out 4 URself..use your computers

MINOT now getting hammered with HEAVY RAIN

  • @unityspirit51

Ah, but "God" is more than mankind's idea of what he thinks God should be/conform to. It is something you can experience by knowing yourself. A verb.

  • @8810604

Yea, It's more that the IDEA of God is different to people but "God" itself is what is it, will be what it will be.

  • so god is different for everyone. for me its what science can prove which is more than what most people know. religion created mythical explainations of what was unkown at the time. now science can prove a lot of what religion believes is true, but not the guilt and judgment and afterlife and god loves us stuff. if god loves us then gravity loves us...all equally no matter what of if we believe. maybe fat people more.
