Great introduction. I am buddhist, but I learned a lot from this video about what I should abide by when meditating. The directions are right to the point and I am now more confident that I can learn to meditate. Thanks so much and I I love your videos a lot!

Thanks @2001aleck for sharing your comments. One of my favorite intro to meditation classes can be found on zencast.org and my intention with this class was to add my take on meditation given my training - that our brains don't stop talking! I hope it helps more people stay patient with themselves while they are learning to meditate.

Mediation gave me a new life. I have a mental disorder and have been hospitalized 2x in the past 2years. In the hospital I was introduced to mindfulness. As part of that I got interested in meditation. I began meditating for 5 minutes a day. On the 2nd day, I felt so much better. Observing my thoughts helped me recognize my negative thinking patterns - and they faded away. While I still have a disorder, I am on 1/3 of the meds I was on before. And I'm happy! It's unbelievable.
