At least, if you're a teacher, you can always be grateful to the union and the (Democratic) legislature for forcing you to contribute to Democratic campaigns against your will.

I'm a teacher in WA.
The union is horrible. The state should not grant the union monopoly status in the schools. There should be competing unions, with different dues and different levels and quality of service. Why should the state deny us choice and create a monopoly?
The union folks are indeed thugs.
They can't win arguments, but they really know how to intimidate. It is really all about their power. It is unfair that teachers are forced to pay them anything at all.
