Colin Carrie was canvasing my area. He refused to address my specific issues. When pressed for specifics asked me for a pen so he could have me contact "Janice". When I pushed he suddenly got very busy with his blackberry. I then presented him with a form I have recieved from Revenue Canada.
IF arranging for a ride, is higher on your agenda than taking my number you do NOT deserve my vote. Colin Carrie should have been taking MY phone number. You will NOT be getting my vote.

"We are quite confident the canadian consumers will be happy"
I have only seen negative responses to this bill, how can you remain confident? You are a puppet my friend.

Canadian men and women should just stop buying all electrical devices that we would use for copying any material such as computers dvd recorders tape recorders, or any photo copy machines of any kind yes even mp3 players or ipods. hit the government in their pockets. purchasing any of these products we pay taxes on, and yet we will not be able to use them freely if bill c61 passes. will we be charged 500 dollars for singing, whistling, humming our favourite song?

By "stakeholders" they clearly mean "stakeholders in Conservative party retirement funds" (RIAA, MPAA and American government).

According to Cancon Rules (MAPL system) 50% of Canadian content has to be Canadian. Music, the artist, the production and the lyrics. If lyrics are written in the states and the production is in California the product is Canadian as long as the remainder of the criteria are likewise.
According to Mr Harper, "A bottle of apple juice could have a 'Made in Canada' label on it and be made from apples from China. Chocolate may say 'Product of Canada,' but the cocoa beans come from the Ivory Coast."

Are the conservatives trying to force an election with this bill?
And when was the public consulted on this bill, or are they no longer stake holders in copyright?
Let's all chant the conservative corporate song:
"Made in Canada!" "Made in Canada!"
... Come on, kill this bill!

Mr. Carrie and his Government don't seem to realize that the "format shifting" rights only exist if there are no digital locks on the content, like there are on DVDs. If I copy a DVD onto my iPod, a clear case of format shifting, I have to break the digital lock. In doing so, I become liable for a $20000 penalty. Ironically, if I didn't buy the DVD at all and downloaded the movie from the internet then copied it to my iPod, I'd only be liable for a $500 fine. Where's the logic, Mr. Carrie?
