♪ NBC News at Sunrise debuted in 1983 with anchor Connie Chung. Other anchors included Deborah Norville and Ann Curry. The program and the theme music left the airwaves in 1999.

♫ "The Mission" is four parts of music composed by John Williams for the NBC television network in 1985.

♪ "The Mission" composition was used as the theme for NBC's Nightly News,Today, Before Hours and Meet the Press in America. Outside the US, the theme was remixed for Channel 7 news in Australia. (go to my favourites to hear it!).
