1995 Honda Accord Stock V6

Stock Honda Accord LX V6 2.7L

Should this engine be so loud? It almost sounds like a diesel. Is there a problem?

Ignore that wooshing sound that repeats every second or so...I'm not sure if it was wind or something, but that is not part of the engine noise.

you need to adjust the valves. nothing happens its just gets annoying

try changing your pcv valve.

Its not a valve or anything like that. It is the hydraulic tappets or lash adjusters, whatever you want to call them. Almost all overhead cam engines will start making this noise eventually. It wont hurt anything just annoying sound.

I get this with my V6 accord too. It usually only does it when I am low on oil.

The exhaust side is adjustable...the intake valves are not...

emoney is right.. def. valve shit.. i have the same car and my 2.7 purrs like a 4cyl.  even when its cold..

there's no adjusments for this type of valves-

hydraulics. I've got a 95 .noise goes away after warmup. I,d say drive the way it is .That's a honda .

valve tap! happens all the time in DOHC cars from running it too hard while cold or revving it too high. syn oil change may help. but mist likely needs new buckets of lifters, whatever those motors have under the cams
