I am not the great student filmmaker myself, but when I was making my thesis film, i tried to make a "short" film rather than a "student" film. I went through the process of auditioning, pre-production, and of course, writing a solid screenplay. Anyway, I am sure you guys can do better next time. I am also from Taiwan as I said, and I am just humbly giving your my honest take on your film. Wish you the best. I know you can do better next time!!

One of the problems you have is that you film looks like a "student" film, it looks amateurish as well in terms of acting, directing and edting, and cinematography. You can make a student film without casting your classmates as actors since they don't really have any acting experience. Of course, it is not up to me to say because I have been in the U.S for over 10 years. There are a lot of people who want to pursue acting career and they will do anything they can to get experience.

Thanks for the quick response. Anyway, I got a degree in film and video production at California State University, Long Beach. I was also born in Taiwan. I didn't mean to be harsh, but I was just offering my honest opinions. I give you credit for trying. Anyway, keep up the good work. Making films are about budgeting, creativity, and work around the budget limit, and of course, story. Anyhow, I am in the United States, so I might not have a chance to see your completed film, but good luck.
