I have attained around 5,000 music discs during my episode here. I can't bring myself to liquidate it. I can't really listen to all of IT; I can barely imagine how this man feels.
As my friend Jesse said, "Sumshee, it is just your 'albumtross' ".

I recently got back into vinyl after foolishly getting rid of all my albums in the late 80's. Today's CD's and mp3's sound like garbage. Thank God for people like this guy.

As long as people aren't seeing the value in Vinyl these days and keep donating them to Goodwill's and Thrift stores I'll keep buying them up for 50 cents apiece and add to my collection, Same goes for vintage turntables as well. Vinyl is making a comeback vinyl sales in the US topped 3.9 million in 2011, a 39.3 percent gain over 2010.

You mean the Library of Congress isn't interested in this collection? Barring a private buyer or museum, I would think this is the best alternative. It would be a shame if it were lost - but unfortunately, that is the state of the world these days...

WOW....What a killer collection....I have about 2000 LP's AND I LOVE IT !!! I work in a Record store at Dearborn Music in Dearborn Michigan. LP sales are up...We sell both New and Used LP's. With a new turntable with a u port for the computer and you have the software to take the ticks out you are in heaven.!!!! I wish I could see this collection....TQ

Someone get this collection to NYC, stat! I can see it as an interactive museum, with displays of not only the music, but also of the album art (The Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers album art was by Andy Warhol, you know). I really hope the right person sees this. Kudos to the filmmakers.
