Prophethood is not in Islam. Propheet is one who prophecise. There are no prophecies of Muhammad. Quran claimed that he was Messenger of God and apostle. Messenger relates to duty and apostle is the status. It is closer to the arabic word used in Quran as Nabi.

In Quran Allah says that there would be nomore apostles. The duty of messengers would be done by the recepients of Quran.

Not only did Muhammed have an official ring. He also had a bump or some ugly mark on his neck which was also his "seal" of apostleship. Could you comment on that, kafirforlife?

It might have been a triumph of Muhammed's to mass market that ring with his own self-appointed title. I'm sure this idea has not escaped some enterprising Muslims. If it hasn't, on the other hand, perhaps some non-Muslims should get in on the act, reproducing this silly ring for all the world to see. They could be circulated in Cracker Jack boxes. Well, if he made himself a ring saying he was the messenger of allah, then he must be, right? Give me a break! Allah's cracker jack star, Muh'd!

When I first read Hadith about Muhammed's ring declaring his status as apostle and messenger of Allah, I could not shake the feeling that Muhammed was a clown. The very idea of having a ring declaring one's own status is an inappropriate vanity. It began to draw my attention to a pattern in Islam of ridiculously concrete approaches to religious issues. This material belongs in a comedy act indeed. Thank God Jesus had no silly ring for which I might feel obliged to find silly defenses.

In short, Raider641, your choice of "pig" as a designation of your assumed opponent is, as the author has elsewhere suggested, projection. You are seeing in your opponent what is really your own condition. This means that you are behaving like a pig, not the lecturer here. He has brought you ideas for consideration. Yet all you can do is turn and rend like swine. Your own words condemn you.

You will not receive counsel, Raider641. That is unfortunate. Jesus rightfully warned against you, that you would turn and rend were pearls to be cast before you. You see pigs where there are pearls, Raider641. This is characteristic of swine. You would rather see someone with a gift as "pig of all pigs". The author here has presented an excellent lecture regarding Muhammed's status as a prophet using Islamic resources, yet all you do is play a silly schoolyard child's game of name-calling.
