  • Erin, you were clearly laboring not to let your nasal twang slip out. The fact remains, you have THE prototypical Cleveland accent.

  • EVERYONE who commented on this is from cleveland and said they heard nothing lOLOLOL. That's the point! I'm from cleveland too!. Listen to the subtleties.

  • @petruccifan38 i know what an accent is, but my point is, i'm from cleveland and i (and most people i know) don't speak this way... of course every region has a different accent, i just don't see what makes this thee "official cleveland accent" like, according to who, and what study? and influenced by what? lol. if this IS in fact the way most clevelanders speak, then its cool to be on the outside looking in then!

  • @PsKeyElements everyone has an accent. an accent is the way you pronounce words.

  • people from cleveland have accents?? never knew.. and im from cleveland

  • This is so funny. I'm from Cleveland and I don't hear an accent at all.

  • LOL im in cleveland- i dont sound like that but you made me laugh LOL so thanks :)

  • Ehh I'm a native Clevelander, lived here my entire life so far. Your 'a's were a bit exaggerated :-/

  • I'm from Cincinnati...It's so funny! The accents from northern Ohio and southern Ohio are so different. I can definitely hear the difference. Cincinnati is a mix of southern and straight midwestern accents. Northern Ohio tends to have either straight midwestern accents or sound very, very slightly like Canadians or people from Minnesota...but that's just the opinion of a southern Ohio gal. ;-) I love your accent, though!

  • How weird! I live in Ohio (just south of Cleveland) and this sounds totally normal! I don't hear an accent! What's it sound like?
