  • Composers:

    It is mostly by

    Hyakutarou Tsukumo,

    with assistance from

    Yunkeru "TEKTEK" Matai and

    Yasuhito Watanabe

These are composers for the famous Tecnosoft and most also worked on Thuderforce series.

Isn't it an awesome soundtrack? The games are pretty good as well but they were obscure outside of Japan,

  • @linket Ah, thank you very much for the info. I'll edit that.

  • BTW, after reading your comment, I went to check my (ahum, digital) sound track of Technosoft Game Music Collection Vol. 9 - Voyage and Vol. 11 - Expedition & Vol. 12 - Discovery. And a few tracks have got some of that Hyakutaro influence.

  • @Dragoon, thanks for the info. I had the original Neorude 1 and 2 games on the PSX but having sold them since I can;t confirm the music credits. They really are quite good games but never sold in many copies, even in Japan they are relatively obscure. So it would be hard to hunt anyone down. In the mean time, the Technosoft soundtracks are also as rare as hen's teeth.

  • @linket It's never implied anywhere that Hyakutaro did most of the work on any of the Neorude soundtracks—in fact, there's no information other than that there were three composers, and I'm willing to bet that he only did a fraction of the soundtrack himself. The dungeon themes in the original, for example, resemble Naosuke Arai's work on Shin Kyugyokuden quite closely, and Yasuhito Watanabe would most likely have been given a number of scene and character themes to do, being the newcomer.

  • what is this i dont even-
