  • no, there are tons of types of organizations that may or may not be christian.

    there is only one type of christianity.

  • May God Bless Paul Washer. He is truly speaking the truth each and every time he takes the pulpit to preach. My wife and I really enjoy listening to him and if one studies his teaching in light of the Scriptures, one really has to think about their position with God. God truly uses this man as His vessel. Amen, Amen and Amen!

  • I think I know what you both mean, sort of...God does use the "foolishness of preaching", and does it by those who do not have their own wisdom, in that he is glorified all the more. But..if the elect were saved by any means than men would not be called to preach the gospel. Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. I hope that helps.

  • 1Co 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

    1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

    1Co 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

    1Co 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

  • :\ wow, the add on this vid was about converting to mormonism

  • @nathanjo92 I too resisted truth when I first heard it, thinking I was saved; though yet to be transformed. Born from above. The word of God convicts, which is unpleasant; but it is needed in order to truly receive Christ! Praise God for those 5 dislikes, He is working in them now... It's the people so blind that they don't realize He is talking to them, who walk away saying 'What a great message' and receive it not, that need our prayers and even more of God's gracious mercy the most! Amen!

  • God does use the foolish to counfound the wise. If you read the scriptures, the people who were powerfully used by God looked like fools: picture John the Baptist; Isaiah who was told by God to get naked, imagine who would take him seriously when he ran around butt naked. Ezekiel who was told by God to bake his famous Ezekiel Bread where he could be seen by everyone and to use dried dung for fuel. Think of Jesus, the Creator of the Universe was born in a manger and washed the apostles feet.

  • Everything he says, he backs up with scripture. Everything. So, to the 5 who disliked this, what don't you like? Is it the Word of God? Or is it the fact that there is someone who is willing to step on your toes to save your life? Or perhaps you don't like being transformed by the renewing of your mind, but rather refreshed by poetic cliches? Well, sometimes neither do I, but each day I must choose Life or Death and I choose Life! no matter how offended by it I am!

  • thank you both Lane for posting this sermon and thank you Paul Washer for being you and doing these sermons...I really like how your describe in detail scriptures and the meaning of what you are talking about
