seven tips on how to create good content.

Tip #1: Make It A Priority to Produce Good Content and Focus Less on Subscribers and Views

(If you become overly concerned with subscribers and views, you will add people like crazy and continually write to everyone and it WILL be a distraction to the content of your videos. I've noticed some YouTubers really needy for subscribers and viewers and it is stressed in their videos. It's almost as if they are begging for subscriptions and views. Viewers will pick this up and most likely avoid you because they don't want to be pressured to subscribing to you, they want to see good content.)

Tip #2: If Your Not Happy With Your Video, Fix It or Make It Better

(Don't take the easy way out by being lazy and putting up whatever just for the sake of views. You will not grow on YouTube with this attitude. RJared says remember to be passionate because it you don't love it, your subscribers probably won't either.)

Tip #3: Take The Time To Put In Details and Produce A Great Video

(Play around with your video editing with scene changes, transitioning, color, music, whatever. Learn about camera angles and ways to improve your audio and video. Put some research into producing nice, attractive videos because this is the best thing for you to do when inproving your channel.)

Tip #4: When Using Music, Make Sure It's Liscenced Under Royalty Free Creative Commons

(Royalty Free Creative Commons means that the creater of that music is allowing you to use the soundtrack in any fashion that you want, as long as you leave their link, songtitle, and name in your description box. Music defenitely needs to be used in your videos because you can draw the emotions and attention of your audience with whatever type of background music you choose to use. If you don't understand why you have to use certain music, check out the previous blog, "What Is Copyright and Fair Use: Partnership Program Part 7).

Tip #5: Don't Post Bad Quality Work

(The amount of work you put into your videos will be reflected in the end result. Be proffessional, speak clearly, and have a steady hand on your camera. Even if the sound and visual quality might not be that great, you did the best that you could with what you had to work with. There are some good videos out there even though the camera quality is bad because those YouTubers remained proffessional, and provided good content.)

Tip #6: Remain Focused and Straight To The Point

(Avoid rambling on in your conversation. It helps to have short notes handy so that you can keep yourself on track. Even if the point you are trying to make in your video is complicated, take some time out before you do bad on a video by writing out short, simple, straight foward notes that will help you delivery go along a lot smoother.)

Tip #7: Cut Out Any Unneccessary Content In Your Video

(Make sure to cut out the pauses so that when you are delivering information, it will flow smoothly. If there are big pauses between your speech, it will be very irritating to your veiwers and you might just lose them. You have to have very smooth transitions as if you never messed up or stumbled while you were speaking. For a visual detailed example, check our RJared's partnership video #17 when it is released.)

  • Hi Jared,

I wanted to find out, I'm not yet a partner but I'm wanting to use music in my videos. I've been researching heavily about royalty free CC music, but what makes you say NOT to use it when you're NOT a partner? I do have monetization happening, but I fear my channel won't ever be approved because I have some early videos that are infringing copyright. And I fear that I may need to start off fresh with a new channel in order to become a partner, any suggestions?

  • @rjared I'm loving your series so far man, screw these losers that talk sh*t.Sounds to me like you got the right idea definitely and I FULLY intend on giving this a shot! I mean, you make videos on Youtube and get paid for it! Enough to hold on an apartment, etc! I'd say your doing alright! Thanks for the information man

  • Thanks for the advice man! =D! Really helps!!

  • @XxCTxBeAsTaXx1 wat if he has autism u better pray kid or ur screwed also quit trolling

  • yep I bought a cheap mic from walmart, used it once and threw it away lol

  • what do u use for editing?

  • how do you know about this RWJ thing??!!

  • You should get a colored backdrop thingy or film in a corner so that the background doesnt draw attention and your videos look better in the suggestions pane, and so the lighting is more controllable. I was watching a previous vid in this series and you said colors draw the eye; I tested it right there and almost went and watched something else because of the shiny colors

  • YouTube unavailable!!

  • @XxCTxBeAsTaXx1 hey faggot my younger brother has autism so you can stop fucking saying words you heard before without completely knowing what it's like so fuck off you fag
