what the hell does this have to do with painting? Dude must not know how to cut crown molding so he uses base - lol. 1 more thing - caulk is not for nail holes - it will shrink.

Ya but, trim is not cheap? Roughly .50 - .90 per foot or more! It adds up quick! Unless you can show me where to get trim - cheap in AZ or CA?

You are correct if using painters caulk. I use Tub & Tile Caulk. It stays white and bright and no cracking. Thanks for pointing that out. Gr8Handyman.

Well yes it is, Paint trim before installing it.
