My name is Cynthia, I have Ankylosis Spondylitis, but I also have a reason to live on, his name is Shawn Rosseau. He is a singer/songwriter who took the time to listen to me when I told him about my disease, afterwards deciding to stand by me through all my bad days. His understanding of what
ankylosis spondylitis is about makes all the difference in the world. Shawn sings the song in this video composed it, long before I met him, Reason To Live On... APRIL IS ANKYLOSIS SPONDYLITIS AWARENESS MONTH !! - BE INFORMED BE UNDERSTANDING OF THOSE WHO SUFFER WITH THIS DISEASE THAT HAS NO CURE. shawn@shawnrosseau.com

  • Thnx so much for this video! I myself have a reason to live on, my teenager daughter and my husband. They have loved and supported me since I was diagnosed about 5 yrs about. They are both my heart and soul!

  • heey can i ask you a question im 20 i was diagnosed with AS when i was 19 right now my medication im on is aleve and a stomach pill to relax my stomach im still in pain everyday but the aleve really help alot . my whole body hurts from the AS can you please telll me how your dealling with AS and please give me some encuragement , the doctor said i won't be paralized or disable but for some reasson i have a hard time believing him shoud i trust him when he says im going to be ok ?

  • People dont understand how dehibilitating AS can be, especialy for someone that likes a lot of sport, surfing etc. It can serverely limit your ability to excel. I push myself so hard to try to compensate and its very stressful.

  • I have AS too and it is so hard to deal with. No one realise show difficult it can be. Some days when I am feeling better I can be more mobile. But it is chronically a difficulty for me. I am in chronic pain. I just wihs people would be more understanding.
