23.05.09 Anti Nationale Protest Parade Berlin

The umsGanze-Bündnis and other political action groups such as the Ökologische Linke Partei (Ecological Left Party) had a parade and demonstration on May 23rd, 2009. There were many dozens of Police Vans, and many many hundreds of police officers. The parade itself originated at Rosa-Luxembourg-Platz and continued to a police station on Brunnenstraße near the Rosenthaler Platz U-Bf.

They are anti-capatalist, anti-racist, anti-state, antipatriarchal, anti-military, and anti-democracy. They are into solidarity, radicalism, feminism, and internationalism. (Communists)

There were an unbelievable amount of Polizei officers there. But the whole thing was mostly peaceful. I didn't witness anyone get arrested and it was entirely non-violent.

Organizer was still the "...umsGanze-Bündnis" (w w w . umsganze . de & w w w . einheit-und-freiheit . de ). The ecological left (Ökologische Linke) was only a supporter. ;)

yeah. despite multiple police provocations, overwhelming amount of body searches, attempts to end the parade before it even began, demands that protesters "relax" and that the "black bloc" not lead the demonstration, and other such ridiculous demands.
