that place goes off. surfed it in '89. 4-8ft for 4days.
myself and 2 american dudes...no one else there.
the good lady and i were the only guests...sweet! they only had 5 bure's then, and no fancy swimming pool & shit..good diving and fishing too, yellow fin galour...and the food..wow.
it is a barrel wonderland.
i recommend booties and avoid the last section..especially at low tide..lol.
took 4 months for the coral to stop growing outta my feet..dammit!

you dont always have to travel to surf, but for some people their passion is skating, 4 others surfing. i pick surfing

Learn to surf and put up with intense crowds til you you do. Then pay $500 a day to go to Tavurua to beat the crowd and get some good shape. No thank you. Skateboarding the new parks blows away surfing. How do you have all this time surfing and still have $500 a day to spend? It makes no sense but for rich people who somehow have time to expend.

I surfed that morning. I was leaving Tavarua that day and it was the only surf we got all week but the fishing and diving was excellent! Did the swell pick up for you?

It was indeed. Wilkes was going off as well. The day at Cloudbreak was a cjhangeout day and half the crew was late. 8 or 9 guys out. Bigger than it looks. Were you there?
