"Faces of Freedom" is a beautiful, hardcover book that tells the stories of service members who have paid the ultimate price in Iraq and Afghanistan. Although it only includes 52 military members -- one from each state, D.C. and Puerto Rico -- it is a tribute to all of our fallen warriors.
Proceeds of this book go to Fisher House and Wounded Warrior Project to help the wounded.
This is an all-volunteer, grassroots effort. Editorial Director Rebecca Pepin recruited 48 writers from around the country to pen these truly moving stories.
Gen. Colin Powell had this to say about the book:
"The stories in Faces of Freedom are true stories —
stories of service, sacrifice, pride and love. The stories
will remind you that America has been blessed with
greatness in every generation and no generation has
shown greater valor than our current generation of
heroes in Iraq and Afghanistan. Read and be
inspired."
@TheMilitaryLife You're welcome! It was an honor to put this tribute together for our fallen, their families and the wounded warriors. Thanks for your support and please thank your husband for us!
