If you were to travel ina spaceship through those galaxies seen in the video, this would be the music to listen to. Mahavishnu shoud get together, the original group, before someone of them dies..for that I would find out what the hell I must do or sell to go somewhere and watch them.

@schwoazi If you listen to the concert at Jazzfusion(dot)tv website (listed as -Mahavishnu Orchestra 1975-05-03 Music Hall, Boston MA) you can hear John telling the audience off for being noisy at the beginning.

@newsmanbluesman I just checked and found a website that confirms that Ponty had left the band and this concert is Steve Kindler and Carol Shrive playing violin. If you do google search on 'Mahavishnu Orchestra Boston 1975' the first result you get is a blog site with details about this concert . It also has a picture of McLaughlin and Jeff Beck standing together.

You are right it is the Boston show . You can hear the concert at Jazzfusion(dot)tv wesbite - its listed on the Bootleg Audio list as Mahavishnu Orchestra 1975-05-03 Music Hall, Boston MA. I don't know if its Jean Luc Ponty playing electric violin , I think he had left the band and Steven Kindler had taken over on lead vlolin.

sounds like boston music hall feb 75 which is still ponty - believe me I have stood with these cats from southie at boston shows, incl Tower of Power in this hall - anyway the flourish by Mahvishnu and Narada at 7'20'' is beyond anything played in that building - even if your math was on quantity, McLaughlin's the champ - but I think it goes much deeper, all the way to single-sustained-note simplicity, in just the right proportions - I argue for his quality of note choice - however many
