@Fbueller129 True they did screw up, but personally I find it interesting to see a potrayal of a precusor race that was not perfect. I think the message it sends is good, no matter how advance you become you can screw up like other lifeforms.

The Ancients were cool until you realized just how messed up they left the universe when they ascended. They left enough of their tech lying around the Milky Way for the Goa'uld to get their hands on and reverse engineer to their needs. They left the Wraith to run amok in the Pegasus Galaxy and didn't finish the job of wiping out the Asurans. And lets not get into the Ori. At least the Asgard cleaned up their messes and didn't leave tech lying around for just anyone to find before dying.

John Sheppard and Samantha Carter are the only humans that hooked up with an ancient. Actually Dean Winchester knocked up an angel, but it was a fallen one so it doesn't count.
