this is beautiful... I am glad you made a point for people to understand that you want to make a connection between the past and present history and culture of your people. There is so much people do not understand about the indigenous peoples of America, mainly because we have not opened our eyes to everyone (truly all type of people) that inhabit this land. You're truly a great poet, hope you post more in the future!

When rocks and stones in His image have been reformed then A second great vision holder shall be born From river people on a reservation Shall arise a new leader of the red nation Barefoot over fallen hailstones she shall Walk guided by the cries of the Red Tailed Hawk Broken bloodlines shall converge and as a single strong river reemerge Her kind eyes see new hope in the spreading dawn The vision will come full circle and Live on and Walk the world within This wise woman's form
