I see it can play lots of different songs. Does it use a paper roll to play? If so...how hard is it to find music for it?

Yes, it uses paper rolls. Each one is from about 4 1/2 minutes to about 7 minutes, with 3 to 5 songs each. There are hundreds of rolls available, but it is hard to know which you might like.
