  • Why oh why isn't this the English national anthem?

  • This is the unity politicians should be encouraging - NOT 'multicuralism' agenda and immigration that is bad.

  • WoW Germany flags

    the Whole Europe love England

  • lol at the German flags

  • Stop immigration and start repatriation.

  • @savvyscottyboy I wish every Scottish person thought the way you do.. I'm English and living in Scotland and I'm surprised sometimes by the hatred some people have for the English when much of the time they don't know any English people. That said I know some English people who feel the same about Scots.. Its a shame some people can't respect each others nations and be proud to be united as British..

  • england and scotland are like an old married couple...been through many arguments and troubles,,,a little bit of love and hate,on some days, they think to get away would be good. but in adversity they are together and strong.they know each others strengths and weakness.we have come through such terrible storms in the past.lets stay together.

  • I am Scotish, but not against England. I want England to regain pride. We are British. Rule Britannia is a hymn that can unite.

  • Jerusalem is William Blake's poem for the world - it just so happens that England was in dire need of his particular kind of humanism. It has nothing to do with the old Empire - absolutely nothing.

  • But just to clarify I do think "Jerusalem" should be England's anthem- though of course any attempt to make it so will see fierce opposition from lefties and other religious faiths.

  • @FlopperTopper And whilst many of the aristocracy have done many bad and immoral things the Queen herself never has.

  • @FlopperTopper May I be the first to congratulate you on your english, it is actually very good- puts many English people to shame I can assure you! And I fear you are making the mistake of comparing the Queen herself to the current Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams (who was chosen by Tony Blair, at the time a closet Catholic). It is Rowan Williams who has introduced these liberal policies in deference to the liberal elite, the Queen has not had the power to stop him.
