  • All the title needs is a "You Selfish Bastard" at the end.

  • Someone needs to tell Mr. Evil Announcer that there's a difference between actively refusing to help someone in danger and simply being unable to.

  • Hopefully those who have little understanding of what the Armed forces did then or now..will realise and acknowledge that the successors of these RN Medics and QARNNS Naval Nurses are, despite having had the Dedicated Royal Naval hospitals closed by Successive short sighted UK Governments, still there, and doing a fabulous Job in The Royal navy and especially while Serving, Saving Lives while risking their own, in The Front Line in Camp Bastion in Afghanistan.. God Bless them all!

  • The RN had Ambulances for it's own use but did not operate an Ambulance Service per se..but if on the Roads anywhere on RN business they could stop and offer assistance at an accident.

Royal Navy Medical Assistants trained for 1 year and were much better trained then than their Civilian Ambulance Service Colleagues.

  • This Video was made by the Staff of the Royal Naval Hospital Haslar (Gosport, Hants) Training Division in 1969 ..all 'actors' and the narrator were Haslar Nursing & Medical Staff. or Civilians.

It was so far ahead of it's time that it was used for training Purposes by Ambulance and Fire Service staff among others.

Deliberately simplistic and light hearted, it was designed for total First Aid Novices to enjoy and hopefull learn from, as well as for training non Medical First Aiders in Warships

  • The announcer sounds like he's satan.

  • Will anybody comfort Reg Barnes, who just happened to come along when Frank Lawrence drove like an asshole and we're lucky only killed himself and not a busload of schoolkids or something? Yeah, Red, YOU'RE the asshole; hard to believe, isn't it?

  • Thinks hes Lawrence of Arabia I suppose.

  • Hmm, Paramedics instead of sailors - now's there's an ignorant comment.

They are not 'just sailors' they are RN Medics. Very highly trained, in fact.

This is one of the first videos (very basic) a new RN Medic would be shown at RNH Haslar as part of early training.

I'd rather have a well trained RN Medic any day of the week.

Also, remember, this is a really old film.

    Blimey!

  • An unpedestrianised Gosport High Street

  • You wouldn't happen to have Cold Can Kill anywhere?
