Under the hood is a term used by full size pilots who practice IFR flying. It's called that because you have to put on a hood that allows you only to see the instruments. Here's a variation on that. One of the wacky things we've done at our field is fly our T-28's and one of those has a camera in it, sort of like the RPV's the armed services fly in combat and recon. There is is small camera that is mounted in the cockpit and it moves as the pilot on the ground moves his head. Pilot on the ground has goggles on that show him the view from the camera in the plane via a special transmitter. Ambient light can make it tough for the pilot to see the video so Sean is wearing a stocking cap. Looks wacky...it is wacky but fun. Enjoy!
WOW! no comments? This is awesome, and wacky!
