James McAvoy - Atonement - Gattaca Theme

Here's the first of the three Atonement videos that I'm working on. This one is quite 'formal', but I think it serves as the best opening.

I hope this video does *some* justice to a simply beautiful and touching film.

Notes: I wish I had an extra 20 seconds or so, so that I could've included more footage of Robbie at war.

Never noticed this but the way they touched hands at the table is the same way Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman touched hands at the piano performance in Gattaca.

Oh my God... you're totally right... I've totally forgotten about that. It's been a really long time since I last watched Gattaca, so it was not intentional... but I think it's a nice touch. (no pun intended ;-p)

That was so beautiful, this movie with that song made me want to cry! It's almost weird how wonderfully they go together since Gattaca and Atonement are two completely different movies. Thanks for that!

Thank you so much! I have to admit, I shed a tear myself while making it. That's a good sign, since I want others to feel that way as well. I think the music complements Atonement so well! Gattaca soundtrack could've honestly been used in Atonement an it would've fit pretty seamlessly.
