if norml really supports liberty and freedom then why aren't you atleast talking with ron paul???? i mean he's been the one fighting for that since the 80's atleast. but alas you organization supports the man who NDAA into law and many other things that infringe on liberty and freedom. this is one of the many reasons i don't take norml as seriously as i once did.

NORML does not endorse candidates for office as a non-profit. So we have not and will not issue an official endorsement for Ron Paul. We have, however, covered all the republican candidates comments on marijuana related issues (search our blog for republican candidates) and have also been very critical of the obama adminstrations regression on this issue (see countless blog posts, or google is obama unwilling marijuana issue to see one of our editorials on the subject over at Alternet)

Damn straight Willie, let a brother puff!! If I can buy government issued cancer in tobacco, i should def be able to smoke the reefer in the privacy of my own home in a responsible fashion. The war on drugs has been nothing but an utter failure.  The government needs to realize they could make more money with marijuana legal, than spending (wasting) money on the (futile) war on drugs.

Seems to be profitable enough for the government to keep it illegal. Its classified as a Class 1 up there with LSD by the feds. Keeps people in the system paying for government sponsored counselors, probation fees, fines etc. At the same time it keeps all the uptight rich people in power satisfied that it is "illegal". Hundreds of billions of dollars wasted on anti-drug legislation. We have a nearly 100% corrupt government. Our government is "illegal".
