Prophecy Izis is a recording artist of real authentic reggae music. He sings to teach and uplift the people. His deep cultural lyrics and positive feel reggae beats are sure to make you feel great.

Born Melvin Claude Leslie on December 29th 1975, Prophecy Izis is from Westmoreland Jamaica and now temporarily located in Montreal.

From the age of 9, Prophecy sang in churches, schools and community events. Both his parents were members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which made cultural events and traditions a very important part of his upbringing. His music was greatly influenced by reggae icons such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Burning Spear.

Rastafarianism became more and more important for Prophecy Izis, which is why he moved away from his parents' home to the hills. There he could livicate himself to his new order, the Bobo Shanti.

Prophecy recorded his 1st single Bloody War in 2001, before the war in Afghanistan, which was on regular rotation at iriefm, linxfm and vibzfm. Prophecy Izis has performed in many events in Jamaica, like Tribute to Peter Tosh and Vybzfm concert with artists such as Warrior King, Tarrus Riley, Chezidek and Lutan Fyah. Prophecy Izis also released singles with Wildgeese Records such as Jah is Worthy and The System Red. Prophecy Izis has now been in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for almost 1 year, where he has been performing in different events such as the Mystic Mountain Reggae Bash & Request for Unity concert.

He has been promoting his new songs titled I-Cient Herb and Revolution with local and international radio stations that are very much in support of his work. He is currently working on a new production which will be released in 2012.
