  • @SuperTeamramrod Well like all true artists, Dan is a perfectionist with high standards. Sadly, I have to AGREE with him that it is not his best work by a long shot (and I'm a HUGE fan of his songwriting and the band!).

Ramble fails on all fronts, being neither a powerful rocker, an emotionally captivating ballad OR subtly humorous, fun pop like SC's later work. That's because it was written under record company pressure for a "hook laden" single. Ironically, it was only ever a b-side.

  • this song is a perfect bridge from neon ballroom to diorama. so sad that i wasnt included. and its really sad that daniel hates this. i dont understand how he could not like anything he wrote himself, even if the record companys pressed him for a song ,it seems like he should be proud of ANYTHING that came out of his own head

  • so this was recorded for American Radio? that's funny because I hardly heard it, nor knew of it until like a year or so ago. Love it though.

  • Daniel just had no emotional attachment to this song and was strictly written for American Radio....it's amazing how even a song he puts barely any thought into is one of the best.

  • great song by an epic band

they need to be more known in the us

  • It's an amazing song, but if you watch the creation of Diorama dvd, the producer tells Daniel that the public needs a song that they can "connect" to... even though ALL of Diorama is beautiful... the public (especially America), need a solid song to understand.

  • haha i think this is very cool song. It has stuck in my head. Very Silverchair'ish :D

  • I think he can be over critical of some of his music, lately it's like if it's not really complex he doesn't like it. but sometimes I think simple is good.

  • I like it, shame Daniel doesn't.
