The best version of Never In My Life ever recorded, in my opinion. Leslie was just on fire on this tour. Recorded during the "Night of the Guitar" event at Hammersmith Odeon in London on Nov. 26, 1988.

  • Saw Leslie at Cozy Joe's i n Sayreville back in the 80's . He was fabulous back

then and He is one of my all time favorites. How is he doing. I heard him on

Howard a few weeks ago. What a Mensch; He felt more for his wife than

himself. Hope you can rebound Leslie. I am sure you have many people

hoping you get well and going again.

  • @chetbrunt Leslie is surrounded by a small family with HUGE hearts. He also has millions of fans around the world pulling for him, and he gets to read hundreds of comments daily through Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. No question Leslie knows he is much loved, and hes doing remarkably well considering the challenge he now faces.

  • Interestingly enough, despite all the Cream connections, Leslie has never gotten the chance to jam with Eric Clapton.

Come on EC, just one time, DESPITE the old days. FOR THE FANS!!!!!!

  • Many prayers going out to the King of Tone. Last weekend, Leslie had his leg amputated in order to save his life. The operation was a success. Now the toughest part begins, the recovery. We are all behind you Leslie! You have a wonderful family and friends around you. We will lift you up like you've lifted US up. Long live Leslie West!!!!!

  • Guess he didn't feel like singing here ,but it's great anyway . I love the version on twin peaks when he really belts out the vocal The man can sing ,and make the guitar sing and scream as well Hope he gets a prosthetic limb and comes back at it !

  • Leslie West is by far one of the best guitarist in the world......FCKIN' A'

  • I am just glad Leslie West still kicks out the jams, love his pure rock playing

  • studio version is the best, the intro just has a great feel and the guitar sustains with that power chord in an awesome fashion, ascending into an upper harmonic.

  • @brokeandfixed

Yes it is, it based on the G blues scale. I bet that that camera man is not a guitarist or musician himself...

  • L.W.

The UTMOST TONE..... L.W. is from a different planet!

  • Oh god I love Leslie

  • Okay....first of all WOW....second of all.........WOWWWW and third of all...yes, I agree...this was one hot performance. It's amazing that he lists his influences consisting of ....Cream, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, BB King, Elvis Presley, Rolling Stones......When it seems like it should be other way around except for BB, and Elvis. He's not only one of the biggest influences of guitar...but also on the direction of the music scene itself.

  • @chetbrunt I played this song in a group a million years ago and loved it (bass for me). My Leslie West story: I was in Men's Warehouse buying slave clothes and Miss. Queen came on the radio. The utterly square, totally perfect tailor type got a look like he was hearing the Voice and said to me, "That intro is the best two bars of music ever performed on a Les Paul Junior!" i loved him at that moment. Then, "Would like an extra pair of trouser with that?"

  • Leslie my inspiration , he's what rock n roll is all about.
