Cyber Jam #3 is in the works right now. I thought I should do a "solo" video in the mean time. I first discovered this song when Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart covered it back in the 80's. It's by the late, great Curtis Mayfield. This isn't meant to be a note-for-note reflection of the guitar stuff that Beck did on his version. Mere mortals like me have to recognize our limits.

  • This is absolutely wonderful! I would be more than THRILLED if you would do a guitar lesson video on how to play this as I WANT to learn it! Please!

  • @mojoefelix - Thank you! I've had a few other people make the same request of me (that sadly, I've never delivered on). Maybe it's about time I got off my rear-end and start doing some videos again. Wow, I can't believe this was almost 5 years ago.

  • NICK CLEGG? but great playing!

  • @Will1992UK - Yes, you've found me out. When I'm not busy with my work as leader of the English Liberal Democrat Party, I've been living a double-life as an obscure American blues guitarist. I'll be back in London just in time for the next press-conference.

PS-> David Cameron plays a mean saxophone. A lot of people don't know that.

  • Whoa.... I love this song, I love Jeff Becks Music, And man.... I love your playing, The God Of guitar is in Jeff Beck, and Tho Mere Mortals like us, as you say, must stand in awe and recognise.... But man you did a great job. Keep up the awesome work.

  • Juggalo5588 - Thank you! ...and thanks for adding this to your favorities!

  • Hi Klasek, Thanks for your response. Whether you do a lesson or not you have already inpired me to play this song as part of my repetoire (guitar and vocal) so I am practicing it and loving it with the chords used in this Beck/Stewart version. But...if you do a lesson, please let me know and I will be all over it.

  • great job & sound !!!

  • Nice job brother smooth cool and easy to listen to, the way it ought to be Thanks

  • Definitely Mark Knopfler inspired finger style. I mean that in the best possible way.

  • If you close your eyes and just listen to Keith perform this piece….you can feel the soul in the music. I have not yet heard a better rendition….and I'm including Jeff…..

  • Very well played.
