I grew up in Shirley Temple's time. My mom had a very hard time getting me to eat spinach until I saw her sing about spinach in this movie, and that we should eat it. The day after the movie, I told Mom about it, and from now on I want my spinach. Mom and Dad had been trying to get me to eat spinach for three years. They couldn't believe that a six year old girl could get me to eat it in a few minutes.

I saw this first in 1972..ALice was a JOY; her voice as smooth as Honey.. Delightful she was too in the revival of GOOD NEWS in 1975, I had the honor of seeing her and Don Ameche live in that..God Bless Her..
