I lost my only sister in a car accident. She was only 26 and I was 27 at the time. I am now middle-age and so often think of her; the things we would have shared together, how often I have needed to hear her sweet voice and laughter; sharing our children and own childhood memories. It angers me to hear of sisters who have not spoken for years due to anger and pride. It's petty in the scheme of things. Sisters are priceless treasures and we will not always have each other. Cherish the time.

@teenyweenygenie I'm so very sorry. My sister 36 yr old sister died on July 4, 2009. I miss her every day. We had been at odds for several years and finally made up about 3 months before she died. I agree with you about how petty it is for sisters to not speak. No one will ever have the same memories nor the same kind of love for you like your sister. God bless...

@countrygal7177 Thank you. I've learned to deal with that hole in my heart, but I've never been the same since. I have managed to go on with my life, keep track of the two baby boys she left behind, now grown, but do not remember her, and raise my own son to full adulthood. But I have never, ever been so affected by a loss. It's hard to lose someone who knows all about you, all your secrets, someone you can trust to never judge you or do anything but love you. Call your sister today. Please? :)
