first of all Im sorry for how long it took me to respond, i dont know much on the medieval European beliefs on purgatory so i wont say anything as to avoid saying anything false. As for the penance system, especially during the early middle ages, was highly corrupt and often involved self inflicted physical punishment and a monetary payment to the church. glad you liked the video, sorry for my bad english.
