One of the things I got to do while on a summer job in Rwanda, was fly to the base of and climb up Mount Karisimbi. The Russian MI17 helicopter flew us from Kigali to the base of the volcano, at 12,000 feet. We then hiked about 3 kilometers to the top at 15,000 feet to inspect an abandoned tower.

  • @africanox yeah really large chunks of ice. was dangerous to stand near the tower. we could hear it while climbing but had no idea what it was until we got really close.
