Mapping and navigation with a NXT mobile robot. Platform: LEGO NXT and leJOS JVM 0.85 version (java). Sensors: Ultrasonic for wall following and exploring / mapping obstacles. Wall following uses a PID control and works really nice! A simplified A* algorithm for path planning. The robot moves in 90 degrees orientations between map grids (100 x 100 mm). All tasks completed within the time constraints of the course. Excellent work!
