  • the people that say classical music is boring should hear this. they say classical not realizing / knowing it's baroque.

  • Mom my loves all those Vivaldi violin concertos...but when I played her J.S. Bach, this movement in particular, she was speechless.

    Bach = Vivaldi on steroids.

  • Please! I wanna meet the cellist girl!

  • @slothfat

    Christina Mahler had knee surgery a few years ago. I think that is why she uses the end pin.

  • Simply awe-inspiring music. :)

  • @UlfenDaddy Touche! Thats true. Ive only been playing for about 8 months in my school orchestra, and I still need to polish up my skills since I am the first chair of all the six cellos in our level of playing. And yes I agree it is great fun :P

  • @TheSilentVloggerX It's not tremendously difficult, but requires patience, practice and precision. This is the only orchestral piece I've actually learned to play All the parts (except Bass, but as I recall it doubles 3rd cello.) I first encountered it community orchestra in 1972 (8th grade, 1st viola) and have played it at least 16-18 times since (1st or 2nd viola.) It's Great fun!

  • @sosome57 Actually, it doesnt really take years to practice for this. My teacher gave me this piece about 3 months ago. I can play their speed and probably faster. I think it takes heavy practice. If you wanna see me play this feel free to check it out on my youtube :)

  • Not to be rude/ignorant, but may I ask why the 1st cellist has an endpin. I just thought that was odd because call the other instruments are baroque. Thanks.

  • I lol at the Female Cellist in the far left, she stands out soo much in my opinion.

  • @nickmaestro i don't agree... all in all sevral cocnerts of the "estro armonico" opus are full of steroids too. for example the first 30 seconds of the 11th concert, for 2 violins, whose sound, in the best interpretations, resemples the hurdy gurdy is quite adrenalinic... :)

  • Julia is fabulous in this presentation. Bravo to all!
