MY VIDEO OF A GREAT SONG CUT FROM KING CREOLE
Danny is my name oh yes
My name should be trouble
My name should be woe
For trouble and heartache
Is all that i know
But danny
Yes danny is my name
Oh oh oh yes oh yes

My life has been empty
My heart has been torn
It must have been rainy oh yes
The night i was born
Oh danny
Oh danny is my name
Danny is my name
Oh oh yes

I'm so afraid of tomorrow
So tired of today
They say that love is the answer
But love never came my way

I'm writing a letter
To someone i know
So if you should find it
And if you're alone
Oh danny
Yes danny is my name
Oh oh oh yes
Oh danny
Yes danny is my name
Oh oh oh oh

  • i love danny

  • Thumbs up if your name is Danny!

  • So cute!

  • love him so much ..im straight but have to say what a stunning looking man ,,, elvis for ever this guy will allways br simply THE KING,

  • @MertonHayford Guadalajara was his only completely Spanish song, but he did sing others that were sprinkled w/ Spanish - can't remember which ones, but I'm thinking of those from "Fun in Acapulco."

Also, while he had an impressive knack w/ Italian and German lyrics, he oddly wasn't quite as successful w/ his pronunciation in Guadalajara. But I agree, he definitely should have made an all-Spanish album. Getting the Spanish right wouldn't have taken him long at all. :)

  • As I commented in another video, Marty Wilde and Conway Twitty did better versions. The arrangements, guitar licks, backing singers, everything about the production in those two were much better than in Elvis' , which as everyone knows sounds like a work in progress, or just a simple demo record for someone else to record when compared with the rest of the KC soundtrack. But neither Marty or Conway hit those last notes the way Elvis does, from the heart and gut. Check the ending...

  • Conway Twitty - Lonely Blue Boy (Weisman - Wys)

The song was originally done by Elvis Presley under the title of "Danny".

It was recorded for the movie King Creole, but was cut from the sound track.

The screen play was an adaption of the book, "A Stone for Danny Fisher".

The script was originally given to James Dean before he died.

The rise of Elvis Presley gave the studio a chance to re write the script into

a musical-drama. take a moment to listen to Danny by Elvis.

  • This song was from King Creole. Conway Twitty had a smash hit with it a "Lonely Blue Boy."

  • the KING ! ! ! !
