Click on "show more": I design, build, modify, and restore custom tube amps. Pearly Hendrix is a song created err ad-libbed into a Jimi Hendrix & Pearl Jam kind of vibe in playing and demonstrating another one of my custom home brew "boutique" guitar tube amps in more of a "clean" setting. This amp can use a standard preamp 12au7 or 12av7 as a "power tube" but it sounds best using a 12bh7 or Ecc99 high current dual triode giving a little more power but also better tone as well. The amp is designed to crank out juicy Marshall overdriven crunchiness w/ singing sustain just low enough to not make your ears ring when walking out of your bedroom. It was inspired by an amp called the Firefly but I designed it w/ some major differences in biasing, features, and versatility. It also sounds great using a 12ay7, 12at7, or 5751 besides the standard 12ax7
What you hear is the result of another "labor of love". If you require service of your own, I can work on virtually any amp and improve on it or shape it's tone in one way or another like an artist with a painting. Thanks for taking the time to check this out. Keo
Appreciate your nice comments. I'm definitely lagging on putting out more recordings of my amps. This one spends most of it's time in the Marshally crunch tone territory and where it really excels. Good luck on your build and if you have any questions I'd be happy to help.
