Sophia Wang, who began attending NWOSU in the Fall 2009, decided to create a video showing why she felt Northwestern is so perfect for study. Shes comes to Northwestern from the university's "friend" school, Sias International University in China. Sophia said of NWOSU, "Everyone here is very nice!!! As NWOSU and Sias are friend universities, I want to do something for the relationship personally and persuade more students to come here to continue their study next year." The video shows a snippet of a student recruitment video the university had produced a few years ago, as well as Sophia visiting with Dr. Mike Knedler, dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern who is instrumental in getting the student agreement between Sias and Northwestern. Sophia also speaks directly to those students at Sias who might be considering other universities to study abroad with the background setting being the J.W. Martin Library at Northwestern. Northwestern, a small, rural university, has an average of 2,000 students, and the Alva, Okla., campus is located in northwest Oklahoma, which pretty much is in the middle of the United States.
