This is a how-to video on changing the battery in your 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser. I'm sure the process is similar in other year models; but this is the general idea of how to do it.

You'll need a flathead screwdriver and 1/2 inch socket wrench.

  • This is super helpful. I have a 2001 PT Cruiser and YES you should remove the entire air filter box unless you have tiny elf-like hands. You need the room to remove and install the battery.

  • The nuts on the battery terminals are 10 metric not lineman pliers but thank you for the video it was helpful :)

  • It would be much better if he was using the right tools for the right project, using lineman's pliers to tighten the bolts is a no no
