@805coach I never used to have any IS lenses, then I got one. I will NEVER go back to a non-IS lens for anything that I'm hand-shooting.

@urwholefamilydied Think... if you can do much lower shutter speeds then 4 more then you do now. so the guy who shoot at 1/50 will get 4 more stops same as the guy who only do 1/125 but both get 4 more then with out IS

Am I the only one noticing, that the audio from that video goes from the left side to the right side and back all the time? o.O

Tripod collar not included?

why is image stabilization referred to in "stops". Like supposedly you can go down 4 stops in your shutter speed with the new IS... but it's completley dependent on the user. Someone with a shakey hand isn't going to be able to do that.. And someone with a very smooth hand can go like EIGHT STOPS. How do they come up with these figures?

FUCK THIS NERD

which lense would you recommend for shooting in sporthalls? the f2.8 or the f4 IS? just can afford the 2.8 IS.. :(

Has any1 mounted this lens (Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM Lens) to a Panasonic Lumix GH2?
hello, first let me say i like your videos well informative, my question is is the IS version worth the extra $ 1000 when i shoot my kids sports and family functions , nothing professional just like good photos of my family and friends , Thanks in advance ,also will be putting lens on canon 7D

@805coach Hi, if you're not using it professionally then I would just save the money and get the non-IS. Just make sure you have a faster shutter speed.

Does the mkII lens hood fit on the 70-200mm mkI?
blazewphotography 1 year ago
@blazewphotography I never try it but I don't think it will fit because the MKII hood has a small button to secure the hood in place.

hello i am mainly going to use this lens for sports and sports only. i was looking at getting a second hand mk1 its £1100 cheaper. is it worth the extra? sorry i know you hav had the same question alot.
thanks

@MacOllyTips It's worth it for me because I benefit from the extra stop form the new IS system. If you can afford the new lens go for it, you won't be disappointed.
