  • BOLOGNA! SPECULATORS DON'T DRIVE THE PRICES UP! THEY KEEP IT DOWN! THAT IS JUST A BLATANT FALSEHOOD.

Without speculators at the oil markets - youd be paying $50.00 per gallon. Thank the next oil speculator you see. It's SIMPLE economics. More people involved in the barter for position of what is considered fair value for any given commodity - the more fair the price is.

This is why we're paying $3.00 for gasoline, but other countries have to pay $15.00 a gallon.

  • Others countries pay higher prices for gasoline because of taxes, as the governments need the revenue. It has very little to do with "oil speculators."

  • I haven't heard these positions of his before.

  • That's why we thought it was important to post this video.

  • Senator John McCain is a great guy.

  • Did you know that 3g of Uranium gives more power than a 1 ton of coal. Did also know that nuclear power plants replace about a third of their fuel in use. Also I like to point out that a lot of the DU and spent fuel can be reused with the right reactors. One more thing all that water returns to environment so what really wasted some energy that's all.

  • Umm a lot of those radioactive elements can be found in the soil that we walk on and a no they don't hurt anyone because we safely store the fuel on site.

  • omg, I can't believe these people who keep spouting off about how "clean" nuclear power is. How dumb do they think we are? How do they think uranium is brought out of the earth? Do they really think that radioactive elements will not harm anyone/anything, once brought up to the surface?

  • Did you know that it takes 660 tons of uranium bearing rock to make 1 ton of uranium oxide/yellow cake. To fuel a nuclear power station for one year, it will take 200 tons of uranium, leaving behind 130,000 tons of waste rock, which is what makes up the tailings ponds. It takes a lot of water to process uranium: 33,000 tons of it per day (Australia's Olympic Dam - Uranium mine).

  • Its ashame we here in AUSTRALIA dont take John McCain advice on nuclear power, In stead of going on with coalfired power stations.

  • NASA says the Martian South Poles ice cap has been shrinking for three summers in a row. Maybe Mars got its fever from earth. If so, I guess Jupiters caught the same cold, because its warming up too, like Pluto.I wonder what all those planets, dwarf planets and moons in our SOLAR system have in common. Hmmmm. SOLAR system. Hmmmm. Solar? I wonder. Nah, I guess we shouldnt even be talking about this. The science is absolutely decided. Theres a consensus.

  • Well, I'd laugh at that to. I mean, good on him for coming up with an idea but seriously - how much will that alter the fuel efficiency? If you're going to promote anything to do with driving habits it should be teaching people about accelerating slowly, which gear to be in etc. Those have a far greater affect on consumption. I mean I'm Australian, but if our Prime Minister's attempt on winning over the environmental debate was 'keeping tires properly inflated' I'd laugh...

  • Yeah
