Pushing Thru The Comfort Zone

I'm at a crossroads this past week and I need to make a decision about wether or not I want to cross past my comfort zone and do something difficult.

I take a few moments to consider this task and tell a story about this process and the event that gives me inspiration to proceed.

I know it's a bit odd going alone to Pride events - I'm alone now myself, but I would just go for the hell of it - for the eye candy and "the lulz", if you will (although I can't 'cuz I gotta work that weekend, bleh!)

I'd go, buddy - scruff yourself up, wear that sleeveless shirt you've worn on your vids with yr cap and shades and yr fucking cool goat, and wow the bastards. True bears like us gotta represent, after all!

thanks for the kind words George!! i didn't end up going, but it wasn't cause i chickened out. we had huge storms pride weekend and just before leaving for milwaukee the tornado sires went off so i stuck around. would have been nice to have a "Buddy" with me waiting it out in the basement. hehehe

Hey Mat, I'm doin my best 2 catch up here.. I recall starting 2 watch this and then getting distracted with my transitional BS.. Don't recall being here in FL r CA. Dont no if you went r not but all I can say is that 4 me, before I could go anywhere I had to start from the inside. I was angry about being alone and having 2 explain over and over again 2 those nosy bodies who just wouldnt drop it.. 4 me what I found inside was an element of self worth I never knew & that I was deserving.. ;{>

Also: speaking as a native New Yorker, for the record - about 6 or 7 out of every guy in the metro NYC/NJ area is homo, but only about a third of that number are out (the rest are on the "DL"). Yeh, that's a lotta gay...
